Putting the voices of children and young people and their families and carers at the heart of what we do
Children and Young Adults work :
- contributes to improving the information and resources available to children and young people, their parents and carers about emotional wellbeing and mental health
- supports change to promote better mental health outcomes for children and young adults
- influences the development of policies and practices which affect the lives of children and young adults
- provides support to agencies and individuals in developing resources and responding to the implementation of the Framework for children and young people’s mental health
- informed the Scottish Needs Assessment Programme in its review of child and adolescent mental health
- involved in the development of the Framework for Promotion, Prevention and Care

SDC currently acts as host organisation for HeadsUP Scotland, the National Project for Children and Young People's Mental Health.
